Kara just accepted that silently, knowing Clea was right. "Looks like you need stitches," she commented quietly as she caught Clea's wince. "Among other things."

Clea smiled faintly, pulling her head away from the wall again as it aggravated her already sore head. "Sounds about right," she agreed tightly, pressing tighter against her leg as a spasm of pain shot through her.

Kara swallowed hard again as she watched her friend, hating that there was nothing she could do and knowing that was exactly how Teris wanted it. "Clea," she started quietly, "I don't know if I can do this again." She didn't know what Teris had in mind for them this time, but she knew that each time she got her hands on them Kara and Clea came out worse for wear, between Clea being 'dead' for a month and Kara's drinking and the nightmares they both experienced. She didn't even know who would realize they'd disappeared once more and if they could even show up in time.

Clea looked at Kara and the anger was gone as she nodded, replaced by fear, pain and weariness. "I don't either," she said softly.

Kara held Clea's gaze for a moment before she finally looked away and fixed her attention on the door of the cell. For now at least she knew that Culen and Scooter were likely alright, if for no other reason than because Teris would have made a big show about it if they weren't, but that didn't offer her much comfort.

Clea ground her teeth together and tried to, without success, ignoring the pain radiating from her forehead, the back of her head and most of all her leg.

Kara rested her forehead on her knees after a moment. "Maybe this is it. Maybe after this she'll just end it," she mumbled, not really paying attention to what she was saying and not even caring if Clea heard her or not. It didn't really seem to matter either way.

Sure enough, the door slid open a little while later and Teris appeared, looking down at them.
"Flagging, are we, Clea?"
"Go to hell," Clea said, but there was no power behind the words, more automatic than anything, the bloodloss in fact taking its toll.
"I'm sure I will someday," Teris said cheerfully. "Time to go. On your feet."

Kara looked up and didn't move for a moment but then shifted to help Clea to her friend, keeping one arm across her friend's shoulders and letting Clea lean on her as much as necessary.

Clea couldn't put any pressure on her injured leg, but tried not to lean too much of her weight on Kara. She closed her eyes for a minute once upright, the world swimming unpleasantly before her eyes.
